About the Role
As an IT Technician at TriTech, you will play a vital role in supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT systems for businesses of all sizes. You’ll provide onsite and remote technical support, ensuring that networks, computers, and other IT equipment remain secure, reliable, and optimized.
This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, setting up new hardware and software, assisting with network configurations, and providing IT support to end-users. You’ll collaborate with our network engineers, VoIP specialists, and security teams to deliver seamless technology solutions that keep businesses running.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide onsite and remote IT support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
-Troubleshoot PCs, laptops, servers, printers, and peripherals to resolve performance problems.
-Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, business applications, and security software.
-Assist in network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, VPNs, routers, switches).
-Perform system updates, patches, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
-Diagnose and resolve email, software, and connectivity issues for end-users.
-Support VoIP phone systems, printers, and office technology as part of TriTech’s service offerings.
-Assist in structured cabling installations and troubleshooting (Ethernet, fiber optic).
-Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
-Stay up to date with IT security best practices, helping businesses stay protected from cyber threats.
Requirements
1-3 years of hands-on IT support experience in a business environment.
Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
Experience with troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Basic networking skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, and switches.
Familiarity with remote desktop tools and remote troubleshooting methods.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent (preferred but not required).
