About the Role
As a Print Service Technician at TriTech, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of business printers, copiers, and multifunction devices. You’ll provide on-site and in-shop repairs, ensuring fast and reliable service for clients who depend on their print systems for daily operations.
This role involves working with mechanical, electronic, and software components, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting clients with managed print solutions. You will play a key role in helping businesses reduce downtime, optimize print performance, and extend the life of their devices.
Key Responsibilities
-Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on laser, inkjet, thermal, and multifunction printers.
-Perform preventive maintenance to keep print devices running at peak performance.
-Troubleshoot connectivity, driver, and software issues related to networked printers.
-Provide on-site service and emergency repairs for businesses using TriTech’s managed print solutions.
-Install, configure, and optimize new printer equipment for business environments.
-Support warranty and non-warranty repairs as an authorized Epson service provider.
-Educate customers on printer functionality, maintenance best practices, and troubleshooting steps.
-Work with TriTech’s IT and networking teams to resolve print-related network issues.
-Maintain accurate service records, logs, and documentation of repairs and maintenance.
-Stay up to date with manufacturer training and certifications to enhance service capabilities.
Requirements
1+ years of experience in printer repair, copier maintenance, or IT support.
Hands-on experience with Epson, HP, Brother, Lexmark, Xerox, or similar business-class printers.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills for print hardware and electronic components.
Understanding of printer drivers, print servers, and network printing setups.
Basic knowledge of Windows, Mac, and cloud-based printing solutions.
Ability to lift and transport printers and components up to 50 lbs.
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
Certifications in printer repair (Epson, CompTIA, or manufacturer-specific training) (preferred but not required).
